Our Story

Posted June 2, 2021

Lainee Jordan is a 14-year-old girl who loves horses. She is awaiting a heart transplant and can use all the help and prayers out there!

The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are free to our families, and gifts to COTA are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

I’m sharing this story for Lainee’s family. As a grandmother to a granddaughter who loves horses who when I first met her she too had to have heart surgery, this story struck close to home. Please share this story, let’s see if we can help Lainee get a new heart!
