Deadly Good

Deadly Scandal, the first book of the new Deadly Series by Kate Parker, should be a movie. This action-packed story combines everything I love: history, intrigue, romance and fabulous characters.Livvy is determined to prove her husband didn’t commit suicide. With a second world war looming, the Germans bullying the British government, and leaks inside the Foreign Office where her husband worked, Olivia Denis finds herself in the midst of a nightmare. Pitted against her father and the police that don’t believe her husband was murdered, rumors and evidence of his culpability in missing German documents, too many suspects and people trying to find out what she knows, her quiet life as a married woman of leisure becomes one of investigations, fabrications and excitement. To keep from moving home with a father that barely tolerates her, Olivia goes to work for a local newspaper. The additional assignments Lord Henry gives her has her two-stepping through the mire of European pre-war politics.

I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of my copy of Deadly Wedding the newest addition to the Deadly Series. If you love World War II, spies, romance and strong heroines then you too will fall in love with this series.
