Busy, Busy Month of May

After the crazy month of April, I thought May would be a little easier. I’m not sure why I thought such a thing, but maybe it was hopeful thinking? Last month I did the Author Fair in Clayton and was reunited with dear friends I’d not seen in years who came out to support me. It was awesome and not just because they bought my books. You know it’s such a blessing to have those friends whom you’ve not seen in a very long time but as soon as you get the chance to sit down together, you know that even though everything has changed the one thing that hasn’t is your friendship. Well, that’s the kind of friends these ladies are. Seeing them was like coming home.

After Clayton it was play practice and getting ready for our mystery dinner who done it. I played the disgraced mystery author, Izzy Famous. We set our small town to talking. We played for a sold out crowd Friday night and a nearly sold out crowd Saturday. Everyone seemed to have a blast, in fact, afterwards they were asking us to do it again next year. I hope this is something we continue to do.

May starts out with birthdays, Mother’s Day and Bath Fest, which is Saturday, May 11th. I will be with the Pamlico Writers’ Group. We will be at the Carrow House hosting events, signing books and will be joined by the Alternative Stage (local acting group) performing some of our pieces through out the day. Come join us for this all day event in Bath, North Carolina. https://bathfest.com/schedule-of-events/

Working my “real” job, editing book 2 of the Applegate series, and prepping for my upcoming book signing as well as trying to juggle my other duties with Heart of Carolina and Pamlico Writers’ group, oh and did I mention we have a new dog? Life is an adventure and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I just wish I had more time or more energy to do everything I want to do much less the things I need to do.

If you are in the Selma are or you’d like to take a road trip, come on out and say howdy. We’ll talk books and writing and any other subject that happens to come up. I’ll even tell you about my new dog.
