My first love has always been historical romance novels and Hannah Meredith has become a new favorite author. Her characters are so real they make my skin burn with the intensity of their passion.
Kaleidoscope is a lovely story of love and friendship that encompasses a young woman’s life from her childhood in India to widowhood in England. It is a story of strength, hope and faith…Hannah Meredith shows us two characters who have to believe in themselves even when no one else does. When others fail them, they have to reach into their own well of honor, self assurance and faith. At times that faith is fragile but Lord Lucien and Caro Rydell are true heroes for they rescue each other, when prejudice threatens it is their honor, love and strength that enables them to overcome and find their happy ending. What a beautifully crafted story, like the patterns of the Kaleidoscope the patterns of life are ever changing, it can never be exactly the same but each change can be beautiful and powerful and amazing.
My favorite books make me want to read more because the characters feel like friends. My only complaint about this novella was that it wasn’t longer, it was such a good story.
